About

Hi! My name is Ashley. Nice to “meet” you!

I’m a 28 year old Taiwanese American gal from California, an aspiring software engineer (and tech lawyer, long story), and am currently living in NYC and LA. I consider myself a nerdy fitness enthusiast and a hybrid athlete, that is to say I swim, bike, run, and lift. While running is my passion, I have low bone density or, as my Godmother fondly says, my “legs made of tofu.” Nonetheless, by training smart, utilizing knowledge about bio-mechanics and running tech, dialing in on nutrition, and learning more about anatomy among other things, I’m still out here doing what I love.

This blog is going to be about my running and fitness adventures. I’ll be doing in-depth running shoe and tech reviews, sharing my thoughts about strength training and the latest in exercise science, and posting about my own running journey. Running has brought me so much joy and positivity in my life; its changed who I am and how I look at the world and my body. I would love to help others foster that joy too!

Also, as of 2022, I’ll also be using this blog to share my coding adventures! I recently graduated from Flatiron School here in NYC and am looking for work as a full-stack software engineer. I’m currently available for freelance work and helping on fun passion projects. (Hint, I’m working on a fitness one at the moment, shh!)

Finally, I hope that by sharing my experiences I can connect with others, grow along the way, and help others foster their passions.
